The map
function is a built-in haskell’s function that maps a function to each element of a list and return a new list
with the result. Graphically, it would look like this.
map f [1,2,3,4]
-- [f 1, f 2, f 3, f 4]
Signature of map
The signature of the map function is as follows
map :: (a -> b) -> [a] -> [b]

map succ [1..5]
